Atlas International Premium is a comprehensive travel medical insurance plan, designed for individuals traveling outside their home country, excluding the United States. U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens are eligible for coverage outside their home country, The policy is available for a minimum of 5 days up to a maximum of 364 days and is extendable and renewable. The minimum age for coverage is 14 days old. Atlas International Premium plan provides maximum coverage choices from US$50,000 to US$2,000,000 for the life of the plan, with the option to choose a deductible ranging from US$0 to US$5,000 per certificate period. After the deductible is satisfied, the plan pays 100% of eligible expenses up to the overall maximum limit. The plan also offers coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions for individuals below 80 years of age. Atlas International Premium plan offers coverage for unexpected illness or injury, emergency medical evacuation, and other travel benefits. The plan covers COVID-19, just like any other eligible medical condition that occurs after the effective date of the policy. Atlas International Premium is underwritten by Lloyd's of London, the oldest and largest insurance market in the world. The plan is administered by WorldTrips (formerly Tokio Marine HCC – Medical Insurance Services Group).

Atlas International Premium FAQs

The Atlas International Premium plan is available for: US and Non-US citizens traveling outside their home country and country of citizenship.

You would need the names, dates of birth, passport numbers of the visitors, and a valid credit card to buy the plan.

You can print out your ID card from your confirmation e-mail and it will be used as proof of insurance.

Yes, if you buy the plan initially for more than 5 days, you can extend the policy. You would need to extend the plan at least two days before the policy expires. There would be an extra $5 extension charge. The policy can be extension for up to a maximum of 364 days.

Yes, you can cancel and get a refund for the Atlas Premium Plan, if you need to go back earlier than planned. The following rules apply:

Written request is required for any cancellation.
You can get refund back, only if you do not need to visit the doctor/provider while the policy is in force.
If you cancel before the start date, you would get the full refund back.
If you cancel after the policy start date, you can get a pro-rated refund for the number of days left in the policy.
$25 cancellation fee applies.
If there is any claim on file, you would not get any refund back.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered by Atlas International Premium Plan. However, the Atlas International Premium Plan covers up to the policy maximum for acute onset of pre-existing conditions in people up to 69 years of age. For age 70-79, the plan provides up to $100,000 in coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions. It is up to the attending physician to determine if a particular medical situation is related to pre-existing condition or not, and also if it would be considered as an acute onset or not. Please check the Description of Coverage for more information about what is considered as acute onset of pre-existing condition.
