This plan is available to non-U.S. citizens and non-U.S. residents traveling outside their home country, provided the travel does not include the United States. Coverage is available for individuals aged 14 days to 89 years. Safe Travels International offers the following policy maximum options:​ $50,000​ $100,000​ $250,000 $500,000​ $1,000,000​ Deductible options range from $0 to $5,000 per period of insurance. After the deductible, the plan pays 100% of eligible medical expenses up to the policy maximum.

Yes, Safe Travels International covers medically necessary treatment for COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, and any mutation or variation of SARS-CoV-2 up to the medical maximum per period of insurance, provided the illness occurs after the effective date of the policy.

Safe Travels International offers coverage for the unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition up to $2,500 for individuals under the age of 70. For travelers aged 70 and over, this benefit is not available. To qualify, the condition must occur spontaneously and without advance warning, be of short duration, rapidly progressive, and require urgent and immediate medical care. Treatment must be obtained within 24 hours of the sudden and unexpected occurrence.

Beyond standard medical coverage, Safe Travels International includes:​ Emergency Medical Evacuation: Up to $1,000,000 Medically Necessary Repatriation: Up to $15,000 Repatriation of Remains: Up to $50,000​ Emergency Reunion: Up to $15,000​ Trip Delay: Up to $2,000, including accommodation expenses due to quarantine Optional Sports Coverage: Available for certain sports activities (does not cover student, school, or club sports)

Coverage can be purchased for a minimum of 5 days up to a maximum of 364 days. The policy is renewable with uninterrupted coverage for up to 24 consecutive months, allowing travelers to extend their coverage as needed.

To file a claim, complete the Safe Travels International Claims Form and submit it along with supporting documents such as medical bills and receipts.
